LUXURY SEAFRONT RESIDENCE, SINGAPORE

Like how a great Chinese painting is accomplished by the effortless brushstrokes on canvas, the interiors of this modern luxury residence in Sentosa did so through clean sleek lines and clever use of design elements throughout the 4 levels of the 3000 sq ft good class bungalow property.

 

The design process started with the formulation of the layout plan to create a sense of arrival and entrance experience via a contemporary landscape scheme with water feature and living koi pond. This is then followed by determining the 3 most important interior spaces - the communal space/ dining area that the owners and their family gathers and spend most of their time together; the entertainment enclave with movie theatre space, and the cosy private sanctuaries for the family. The outdoor veranda towards the back of the property acts as an extension to the living room with views of the lagoon and included water feature and a landscaped garden.

Using curved corners - a detail that is synonymous with contemporary oriental design, we injected a sense of sophistication and seamlessness on the layout plan and throughout all functional areas. Complete with material expression and simple geometric shapes we achieved spatial transparency and depth through the calculated use of mirrors and light.
